TICO Document #: SFN-20231009C (formerly TES-208)

Complication: Failure of the coolant hose; the single-piece hose was substituted on the build in place of the 3 piece system. The single-piece hose does not meet the life expectancy of the hose.

Description of Procedure: Replace the single-piece hose with the 3 piece kit (as supplied by TICO)

Parts Required: TICO Kit PN: 970021

Planned Labor: 1.5 hours

Instructions:

  1. Park the vehicle on a flat surface, apply the parking brake, and chock wheels. If your company utilizes a “Lock Out, Tag Out” policy, you should employ it during this procedure.

  2. Drain and capture the coolant.

  1. After draining and capturing the coolant, remove the single single-piece hose from the lower connection point on the radiator. The single-piece hose is in the area circled on the image below.

  1. Replace the single piece hose with TICO Kit p/n 970021.

  1. Fill the coolant system.

  1. Burp the coolant system to remove any air.

  1. Remove the “Lock Out, Tag Out” plaque.

  1. Return the vehicle to service.
