DEF Tank Header Patch Calibration Reversal

Due to supply stabilizing to a suitable level, Cummins has enacted a reversal to the calibrations that were performed previously that affected DEF systems while parts were on prolonged backorder. This is a mandated reversal. If you have any questions, please reach out to TICO Manufacturing or Cummins directly.

Important Note:

TSB programming must be performed in correlation with DEF head replacement. (See DEF Tank Assembly Service Manual)

To perform the reversal, the affected units must have a working DEF head.

Service Procedure: Replace Calibrations On INSITE

Description: The steps are on how to use the replacement calibration feature in INSITE. This will only be available when a replacement calibration is released to the field.

Note: read the PDF above before completing the procedure.

Download Calibration

1. Open INSITE

• Do not connect to the ECM. If you connect to the ECM, INSITE will automatically search for the ECM code in the ECM and will not allow you to enter the ECM code.

2. Click on Calibration Selection

3. Click on ECM/PDD Code Search. Enter ECM Code and search

• If the ECM Code has been replaced, this will not find replacement ECM codes. This se4arch only works with current active ECM codes

4. Once found, click Save.

• The ECM Code will be saved to the calibration workspace

View Replacement Codes using the INCAL or if a new ECM code was downloaded.

1. Open INSITE

2. Click On the Calibration selection

3. click search ECM Code/PDD

4. Locate the existing ECM Code in the ECM

5. Right-click on the ECM Code and select View Replacement Calibration

6. Click ok, and the user will be redirected to the replacement Calibration
