Description of Procedure: Install the Trainer Seat Kit (Part Number 970018)

Parts Required: Kit Number 970018

SRT Code: 9.53

Planned Labor: 1 hour

Instructions:

  1. Park vehicle on flat surface, apply parking brake, and chock wheels. Proceed with the “Lock Out, Tag Out” policy.

  2. Locate the appropriate holes as shown in the diagram.

  1. Align the training seat with the appropriate holes on the cab floor.

  2. Insert two (82429) bolts into the rear holes of the training seat.

    (There are two welded washers on the seat)

  1. Insert the bolts (82418) with washer (85093) into the middle hole and the three holes in the front of the training seat.

  2. Then attach washer (85093) and nut (85027) underneath all the inserted bolts.

  3. Install zip ties to each end of the 1” diameter heat reflective sleeves to secure sleeve to connectors.

  1. Tighten down each bolt using a ¾ wrench and socket.

  1. Align the seat belt latch (90056-1) with the ½ inch hole on the seat bracket.

  2. Then attach the bolt (82396) with a washer on the front and back of the bolt, then attach nut (85027).

    (Tighten down using ¾ socket & wrench)

  1. Locate the appropriate holes located on the left-hand side of the trainer seat, once located align the bracket latch (123561) with the appropriate holes.

  2. Insert 2 (82370) bolts with washers (85089) into the 2 bottom holes, then attach washers (85089), and nuts (85023)

    (Tighten down using a 7/16 wrench and socket)

  1. Remove “Lock Out, Tag Out” plaque.

  1. Return vehicle to service.
