Description of Procedure: A decal is to be installed under the Trailer Auxiliary brake switch labeled Trailer Brake.
Units Affected: Units with frame serial numbers 3998 – 4018, 4023, and 4026.
Parts Required: Trailer Brake Decal 920015 (QTY 1)
#6-20 x 1/2” long self threading screw, stainless steel 800406 (QTY 2)
Planned Labor: 10 minutes
Instructions:
Park vehicle on flat surface, apply parking brake, and chock wheels. If your company utilizes a “Lock Out, Tag Out” policy, you should employ it during this procedure.
Prepare drill by attaching 1/8” drill bit and drill stop. Set drill stop at 1/2” from tip of bit.
Locate Trailer Auxiliary Brake switch, labeled “TRL-AUX”. This switch will be in the upper right hand corner of the gauge panel, right of work light switch.
Center 920015 decal below switch and mark hole locations using center punch. Remove decal.
Drill 1/8” pilot holes at locations previously marked.
Mount 920015 decal using #6-20 x 1/2” long self-threading screws.
Remove “Lock Out, Tag Out” plaque.
Return vehicle to service.
