Description of Procedure: TO HAVE THE CENTER PIN OF TRAILER BOX (TRAILER ABS POWER) TO BE SWITCHED BY KEY (IGNITION). THESE INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDE THE PROCEDURES TO REVISE THE TRAILER ABS POWER TO IGNITION.

NOTE: This procedure illustrate how to re-work the center trailer box from battery operation, to allow the ABS to operate using ignition. This procedure applies to vehicles with the new cab design and the chassis PDC mounted under the cab step.
Instructions:
Park the vehicle on a flat surface, apply the parking brake and chock wheels. If your company utilizes a “Lock Out, Tag Out” policy, you should employ it during this procedure.
Disconnect main battery supply to chassis PDC at the batteries.
Remove lower cab step.
Remove cover from the chassis PDC.

Use harness 621033. Install Ring Terminal to the output side of the ignition solenoid. Loosely install nut on solenoid.
Route terminal end of harness towards fuse box along with current wire bundle. Remove the fuse box from the mount by pressing the lock.
This shows back view of the fuse block. Remove blue wire locking tabs.
Remove green cavity plugs from positions show.
Insert the terminal end of the harness into this cavity. (Yellow)
Remove circuit “Trailer ABS”(blue) from cavity C2.
Insert circuit “Trailer ABS”(blue) into cavity B2.
Insert green cavity plugs in empty cavity positions show. (Next to pink wire)
Re-install wire locks.
Replace fuse holder into mount. 30 amp Fuse is installed in new position.
Re-work is complete. Route and tie up wires to avoid chafing. Clamp wires to side using (2) two 3/8 plastic clamps and two (2) 10/32 screws and washers. Replace the cover on the fuse holder. Tighten the nut at solenoid.
Connect chassis PDC battery supply cable at the batteries.
Re-install chassis PDC cover.
Re-install lower cab step.
Verify correct operation.
Remove “Lock Out, Tag Out” plaque.
Return vehicle to service.
