Description of Procedure: Drill a hole into the front cab panel
Units Affected: Any TICO 2017 series cab.
Parts Required:
Bolt, Hex, .-20 X 2-1/2 Lg, SS, Fully Threaded 800472 (QTY 1)
Locknut, Nylock, .-20, SS 803601 (QTY 1)
Washer, Flat, ., SS 80311 (QTY 2)
Washer, Flat, ., SBR Rubber1 800473 (QTY 2)
Tools Required:
13/16” Diameter Hole Saw
4’ Level
Tape Measure
7/16” Wrench
7/16” Socket
5/32” Hex Drive
Planned Labor: 1 hour
Instructions:
Park the vehicle on a flat surface, and apply the parking brake and chock wheels. If your company utilizes a “Lock Out, Tag Out” policy, you should employ it during this procedure.
Remove the front left panel (p/n 122024) from the cab. The panel is secured to the cab with .”-20 button head hex drive screws.
Set hardware aside.
With a 13/16” diameter hole saw, drill a larger diameter hole in the panel as specified on drawing SK0291.
Set the panel aside.
Install the hardware provided into the threaded hole in line with the top slot of the cab PDC box.
Tighten the bolt until the 4’ level is able to sit flush along the front surface of the cab.
Reinstall the panel onto the cab. Torque all .”-20 screws to 70-80 in-lbs.
Remove “Lock Out, Tag Out” plaque.
Return vehicle to service.
